Hi Freshies!

Hi Freshmens!

Here at Ngee Ann, joining Lifeguards Corps is not only about being a lifeguard, its able been in a wonderful Lifesaving Sports.

Lifesaving Sports is a national & international recognised sports. It is categorised under two categories, "Still-water" and "Open Water". For the still-water, you will be competing in a series of event inside the swimming pool like Obstacle Relay, Super-lifesaver, Mannikin Tow, Medley
For the open water, you will be competing in events like 4x100 relay, surfboard rescue, canoe rescue, open water swim - ALL TAKES PLACE AT THE SENTOSA BEACH.

For non-swimmers, NO WORRIES! We will be holding basic swimming classes to gear you up before you continue taking the lifeguard course to be an official lifeguard.
Girls are warmly welcomed as lifeguard is not a ALL MAN thing.
For lifeguard course, you will start with the fundamental lesson named Lifesaving 1-2-3, after passing this, you will then be enroled in the Bronze Medallion Course, to train you on all aspects to be a LIFEGUARD.
On the other hand, we do offer further awards like Award of Merit, Silver Cross, Distinction Awards and not forgetting the all time popular Bronze Cross for open-sea rescue and the pre-requisite to be a lifeguard at Sentosa.

BEST OF ALL, WE'RE THE ONLY CCA IN NGEE ANN, THAT PAYS STUDENTS LIFEGUARDS!

Lifesaving Freshmen Orientation Camp
A CAMP FOR YOU TO ENJOY AND KNOW MORE ABOUT LIFESAVING
Place to assemble: Ngee Ann Swimming Complex
Duration: 24 April 2009 (Friday) to 26 April 2009 (Sunday)
Time to assemble: 6.30pm (Dinner at 6.30pm)
Place studying at: Ngee Ann Staff Apartment@Kismis, “The Loft” (Bed/Pillow/Blanket provided)
Event Scope: Water games/Land games/Team building and bonding/Crash Course Lifesaving Skills and more fun!
Cost of the camp is subsidized by the club; each participant will only need to pay $5 (includes meals and BBQ dinner)
