Lifesaving 1, 2, 3 (LS123) This class introduces the basic skills and knowledge of water safety and lifesaving and is the pre-requisite to taking the Bronze Medallion. Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate.
Bronze Medallion (BM) This class trains you for the Bronze Medallion which is recognized as a flagship award for lifesaving. This class will develop a basic level of proficiency in knowledge, understanding and
practical ability for aquatic rescue situations. Successful candidates will receive CPR and BM certification.
Award of Merit (AM) This is a progression from the Bronze Medallion and develops a proficient level of knowledge, understanding and practical ability in aquatic rescue situations. The successful candidate will receive SNR and AM certification.
Distinction Award (DA) This is a progression from Award of Merit and establish an advanced standard of all round knowledge, skills and ability in aquatic rescue situations. The successful candidate will receive the highest qualification that can be attained in our club.

Bronze Cross (BM)
Designed to develop competent lifesaving and emergency care abilities for qualified lifesavers in open
water conditions, this award requires a Bronze Medallion qualification.
Silver Cross (SC) A step up from BC, SC is designed to develop advanced lifesaving and emergency care abilities for qualified
lifesavers in open water rescues.
