Annual General Meeting 2010

Dear mighty-members & ever-supporting alumnus,

You are cordially invited to Ngee Ann Lifeguard Corps/Ngee Ann Lifesaving Sports Club's Annual General Meeting.

Year 2009 has been a exciting and remarkable year for us. We would like to extend our invitation to all of you, to share our joy and celebrate with us.

Witness the official handing over of Executive Committee
Reviewing of Club Key Changes in 2009 by outgoing president
Review of Key Performance Indicator 2009 by outgoing president
Revealing of Club's goals, objectives and target for year 2010 by incoming president
Introduction of incoming Executive Committee by incoming president
Session for connecting alumnus together, bonding platform for members and alumnus

Guests are to arrive by 6.30pm for registration & tea-reception.

Classes Conducted

Lifesaving 1, 2, 3 (LS123)
This class introduces the basic skills and knowledge of water safety and lifesaving and is the pre-requisite to taking the Bronze Medallion. Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate.

Bronze Medallion (BM)
This class trains you for the Bronze Medallion which is recognized as a flagship award for lifesaving. This class will develop a basic level of proficiency in knowledge, understanding and practical ability for aquatic rescue situations. Successful candidates will receive CPR and BM certification.

Award of Merit (AM)
This is a progression from the Bronze Medallion and develops a proficient level of knowledge, understanding and practical ability in aquatic rescue situations. The successful candidate will receive SNR and AM certification.

Distinction Award (DA)
This is a progression from Award of Merit and establish an advanced standard of all round knowledge, skills and ability in aquatic rescue situations. The successful candidate will receive the highest qualification that can be attained in our club.

Other lifesaving awards that are trained and assessed at an open water facility:

Bronze Cross (BM)
Designed to develop competent lifesaving and emergency care abilities for qualified lifesavers in open water conditions, this award requires a Bronze Medallion qualification.

Silver Cross (SC)
A step up from BC, SC is designed to develop advanced lifesaving and emergency care abilities for qualified lifesavers in open water rescues.
